Nap Time

Ellie's favorite thing to do during the day is sleep (we're still not doing much of that at night!) Here are some new pictures of her getting her "doze on".

Meeting the Peterson's

Over the weekend, Eleanor met Uncle Tom, Aunt Marty, and Aunt Dawn. Tom and Marty are from St. Cloud, MN and Dawn is from Fort Dodge, IA. It was a great weekend, full of loving arms to hold her. We played Quelf on Saturday night which is a very odd, but fun game which resulted in Jen's grandfather diving under the table and yelling at us to "clear the area". It was quite impressive to see him so nimble!

Oh, the Places I've Gone

She's only fifteen days old, but our little girl has been out on the town. She's been to Queen City Bakery at least three times, she's smelled the fresh roasted coffee at Dunn Bros, she enjoyed her first meal at Jacky's, and she even took her first stroller ride down to Taste of the Big Apple. Quite the little socialite, this one!

Ellie's 2-week check-up

Well, she's still a peanut! Her birth weight was 6 lb, 4 oz and she dropped down to 5 lb, 8 oz last week. They would have liked to have seen her back up to her birth weight at today's appointment, but we fell short. She weighed 6 lb, 0.5 oz, so we get to go back next week to make sure she's gaining weight. This puts her at the 10th percentile for both height and weight. The good news is that she's eating well and actually had her first bottle tonight (full of yummy breastmilk...something Jen has way too much of! PAINFUL!) Other than that, her appointment went well. Yeah for a healthy (albeit tiny) baby!

My first blog entry

Well, this is it...we've joined the blogosphere. However, we have no idea what we're doing, so be patient with us. We're going to try this and see if we can't keep family and friends updated this way.

For good measure, I'll attach a few new pictures of Miss Eleanor Mae. Notice how she is sleeping. This is only during the day. She's a force to be reckoned with at night. But we're hanging in there (and drinking lots of coffee). Jen just wishes her morning cup of coffee would wake up the little peanut during the day in the hopes that she might sleep at night. No luck so far.

Thanks for reading our blog!
