What a busy weekend we had!! It started off with my graduation from med school. Even though I'm not officially done yet (I have about 3 months of rotations left), I participated in the ceremony. Joe's parents were there, along with my family.
On Saturday, we got to spend all day with Stephen and Mae and the Milwaukee clan! We couldn't believe that Matt and Christina (and kids) would make the trip all the way here, but they did!! And it was so nice to see them! Also here was my family from Omaha (Mike, Cheryl, Denise, and Kristen), Aunt Dawn, and Christina's parents, Leo and Cora. We had a celebratory grill-out on Saturday night at my parents' house.
Sunday (Mother's Day) was Eleanor's baptismal day. She looked beautiful in the gown that has been passed down through the generations in the Schulzetenberg family. It was sewn in 1929 and Ellie was the 53rd baby to wear it. Joe was the 23rd baby to wear it back in 1979. After the baptism, we all gathered at our apartment and had brunch. It was a wonderful weekend and a very memorable first Mother's Day for me!!
